Welcome to my gluten-free food, recipe, and “health-forward” #GfreeTogether community!

One of the things I’ve always loved most about food is one of the healthiest things about it—the connections food inspires through gatherings of people, whether gathered at our family table, church potluck, picnic, community dinner, or here on Substack. In the same way, that’s why I’m so happy that you’re here to join me so we can connect.

If you don’t already know me, I’m a Christian, wife, mom, grandma, student, celiac patient, quilter, creative gal and designer, passionate food lover, proud home cook, certified gluten-free practitioner, and gut microbiome specialist, health and lifestyle coach, and the face behind GfreeDeliciously.com.

I began my gluten-free journey when everything I thought I knew about cooking and eating suddenly changed when I discovered I was celiac. So, I re-learned how to eat, cook, and navigate through life gluten-free – trusting God and His plan for me.

In 2017, I started my blog with the aim of sharing reliable gluten-free recipes (made with affordable ingredients) that others could quickly reproduce in their kitchens without too much fuss. Foods that were re-imagined and prepared a bit differently to eliminate gluten.

My goal became - Food for All Food Lovers, Gathered At The Same Table.

Then, somewhere along the way, I became a self-taught Gfree lifestyle expert on [most] gluten-free things, with a personal and professional mission to find “the sweet spot” where delicious, gluten-free, and healthy meet.

As a person who has always loved cooking and creating delicious foods from scratch for myself and those I love, that intersection evolved into the joyful, flavorful place where I’ve taught myself and hundreds of others to thrive while being gluten-free - keeping us all feeling our best.

I live in what’s known as the Holyland of Central Wisconsin. All the recipes you’ll find here and on my blog are gluten-free and inspired by the people and places I love most. Whenever possible, I cook with seasonal ingredients using whole, non-processed ingredients and foods – Making dishes suitable for everyday life, and yes, “all food lovers gathered at the same table.”

Gfree cooking, health, and wellness ARE my life. And this eNewsletter and my little corner of the internet is where I share what I’ve learned – Where my passion IS to nourish every day GfreeDeliciously!

After being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2011, I returned to school to educate myself about the disease. Along the way, I became a certified gluten-free practitioner, accredited gut microbiome specialist, and health and lifestyle coach.

Here, on Substack, I aim to inspire an appetite to live fully nourished - for better understanding and connecting with ourselves, our bodies, our families, and our faith. Sometimes, that means posts are recipe-heavy, and other times, I may focus on gut health or gluten-free nutrition, food history, food growers or makers, or how-tos. Other times, you’ll find this a gathering place of ideas and inspiration - jumping-off points that showcase everyday experiences and activities. Such as cooking, decorating, gardening, books, faith, devotions, and hospitality - all of which we can use to live fully nourished in the perfect online place for being #GfreeTogether!
